    Hey folks,

I have been extremely distracted with the house of late and have not really had the time to sit down to upload content and deal with things. I have just connected up session 5 of The Banewarrens for you to download and enjoy.

Lets see if we can get things kick started again shall we 😉

I liked this one! It really hightlights the differences between the characters and how, when alignments are played to the hilt, even slight differences can cause major issues 😛

It also caused me concern with regards to the future of the party and made me work hard to put the pressure on them to make them work together rather than sitting around and discussing their differences and then wandering off in different directions 😀

Let me know what you think 😀

He’s a well developed character with a strong sense of morality. 😀

Great, isn’t it. It is much easier to play a character that does what people think it should then one that really annoys people by sticking to principles.

    Like I said… A little fucking twat… 🙂

    I know it’s being played well… I understand this… Doesn’t mean I can’t hate the character… 🙂

I admit that my perception may be slightly affected by the fact that my own moral code runs somewhere between neutral good and chaotic netrual…

Ok, I’m not sure which session this was in … but I LOVED the “God of the Keg” sequence as portrayed by Hal. That priest “BEER IS BETTER!” needs to make FREQUENT appearances. Anyway, beautiful new audio sessions for the general public…

    Wasn’t that Olem? I’m sure there was a E in there…

Obviously enjoying Banewarrens so far, it’s a great listen and a half, and the characters work great together, even if they cause trouble for each other for being excessively law-abiding or whatever. Anyways, I did stumble across an article lately which handled the whole lawful/chaotic buiness (I’d guess it’s no news to at least some of you people) and it really made me think of the Banewarrens situation, as Lawful is being primarily played as “always follows the letter of the law”, which isn’t necessarily the case. It’s obviously the most common interpretation, but I found this an interesting article, especially considering that it also handled law/chaos alignment violations, which is relevant for some classes (Paladins spring to mind) or just roleplay in general…

IMO (and bear in mind that I never actually played D20, and AD&D something like once or twice in my life), it does offer a good view on what law/chaos as alignment parts actually mean, and why a Paladin is in no way at all required by his alignment to follow an unjust law. It also made chaotic clerics all the more interesting to me conceptually, seeing how you don’t value consistency for its sake, so I’d guess those gods don’t have the structured and repetetive religious rituals of the lawful religions. =)

Cool… can be pretty tricky to tell spelling just from how it’s pronounced sometimes, so thanks for that one. Also looks like Hal got the temple and worship down pretty accurately with his improv =)
