I doubt even Gilbert would confess to liking Katy Perry, but everyone loves Whartstock! I know I really woulda wanted to go, having heard some of the crazy stories of what goes on:

There's a stranger in the loo
We're all pre-genned ingénues
Ginger bears and teeth have met
Flying monkeys overhead
Sent from the Antipodes
SmithMeg's earning her XPs
LARPmobile is in the drive
Nerds & nerdettes have arrived

(Pre-Chorus )
Pictures from Whartstock
Wound up on my blog
They're rude
Oh well
Jon has won our dosh
But he said it was
House rules
Damn!

(Chorus )
Last Friday night
Riddles camping in the yard
Weasel looking like Picard
Hoisting us by our petards

Last Friday night
Nick throws down at Zombie Dice
Chris and Helen roll their eyes
Memmsy's chili's full of spice

Last Friday night
Jomster's going on a binge
Isis smiles and plots revenge
Sara rests her lemon minge

Last Friday night
Ross has two things you should know
There's a bomb, it's gonna blow - Whoa!

But next Whartstock time
Do it all again
Next Whartstock time
Do it all again

Beer and cakes are polished off
Socks and shoes already doffed
Shoggoths bracing for the kill
Mrs. Peel is feeling ill
Vomit up and down the floor
Next to dog-eared books of lore
Think I need a ginger bite
That was such an epic fight

(Pre-Chorus )
Pictures from Whartstock
Ended on my blog
They're rude
Oh well
Jon has won our dosh
But he said it was
House rules
Damn!

(Chorus )
Last Friday night
Riddles camping in the yard
Weasel looking like Picard
Hoisting us by our petards

Last Friday night
Nick throws down at Zombie Dice
Chris and Helen roll their eyes
Memmsy's chili's full of spice

Last Friday night
Jomster's going on a binge
Isis smiles and plots revenge
Sara rests her lemon minge

Last Friday night
Ross has two things you should know
There's a bomb, it's gonna blow - Whoa!

But next Whartstock time
Do it all again
Next Whartstock time
Do it all again

R.P.G.M.
P.3-R.P.
G.M.P.3
R.P.G.M.
P.3-R.P.
G.M.P.3

( Chorus )
Last Friday night
Riddles camping in the yard
Weasel looking like Picard
Hoisting us by our petards

Last Friday night
Nick rerolls when no-one looks
Helen's browsing Chris' books
Em got 20 on Craft: Cook

Last Friday night
Jomster's going on a binge
Isis smiles and plots revenge
Sara rests her lemon minge

Last Friday night
Ross has two things you should know
There's a bomb, it's gonna blow - Whoa!

Next Whartstock time
Do it all again

(Yes, I am aware that Cooking is a Profession skill, but that wouldn't fit the meter) Razz

Wow! I've never featured in a filk before! Thank you so much Pencil-Monkey! It even makes me sound tough - steeley-eyedly throwing down dice...which is of course the truth. I have an excellent poker face Smile

Just a couple of things....of all the songs, in all the world....Katy Perry? Brilliantly done, nevertheless!

Second...are you 100% sure you are aware of what a minge means in the U.K.? Because it really wasn't that sort of weekend...

Also (not that this has been preying on my mind..) how does one 'rest' a minge? And for that matter, how does one end up with a Lemon one in the first place??? Sara gets all the new gadgets first!! Sad

Well, I'll admit I've never seen a live specimen, in the wild as it were, but Gilbert has kindly shown me pictures of them. They're fascinating creatures - a type of rodent, like a beaver, yes? Smile

Technically, this is a callback to Whartstock 2010, where one of the recordings start with a discussion of Sara's citrusy qualities, which she herself claims to prefer "rather than being greasy". Very Happy

I'm not exactly sure that Gilbert would necessarily be regarded as an expert in that particular, uh, field... Wink

I KNOW NOT OF THE MINGE!
MY EYES! MY EYES!

Actually, I have to confess. I am kind of a Katy Perry fan. Her songs seem like they were written by a 4 year old with a box of magnetic poetry, but she makes some catchy ass tunes; however, I have never been compelled to re-write any of them.

So, Monkey Doodle, how many times did you listen to the song to get the words just right?

Whilst attempting to find out who Katy Perry is I discovered that her song "Last Friday Night" has been banned in China for harming national cultural security Very Happy

You make it sound like a totally different kind of song, sorta: Sara does you know what with her you know where. Smile

Does that have anything to do with Sara running around with a towel the size of a hankie and not much else that w/e?! Shocked

Isis had quite a worried look on her face when I came round from the shock... Razz

Pencil Monkey, as I can't walk past a radio at the moment without Katy Frikkin' Perry coming down my ears (oo-er), I want to thank you for making it constantly remind me of Whartstock, and so making the cold turkey back to reality much more bearable Smile

Cheers
