In Topic: Favourite rule you've pinched from another game

I don't know if it counts as 'another game', but our play group used a lot of 5th ed D&D rules in our Warcraft RPG (which is based on D&D 3.5), such as advantage/disadvantage, the attribute cap of 20 and level up rules of 5th ed, the 5th ed experience tables, and the 5th ed spellcasting rules.

These made the system speed up quite a bit and our GM for that system is looking into doing a full-conversion for the Warcraft RPG from 3.5 to 5th ed.

The first Fiasco session went well, we had between 30-40 people watching and we all had a good time :) If anybody here watched, or watches the replay that is currently up on the survivor_tv channel, please feel free to leave some feedback.

Next session, on the 7th, we're going to have some new Roleplaying system that our GM RebelliousUno has acquired direct from the game designers; should be interesting.

Funny :)

I have my eye on The Witcher 3 at the moment - anyone given it a go?

Apparently there is a sex on a stuffed unicorn cut scene...

Hal :hal:

I am currently streaming the Witcher 3 as a matter of fact - my next installment of that stream is tomorrow at 9AM EST on Twitch if you'd like to 'try before you buy', as it were. If you enjoyed the Witcher 2, it's an improvement on that and a really good one at that. I'm enjoying it immensely, as is my chat. The Unicorn has been alluded to, but we haven't seen it yet.

In Topic: Your biggest level of game hype?

14 May 2015 - 03:34 PM

@Twyst - Well when you guys get it started back up again I'd love to join if you want another player :) - finishing up session 9 as I type.

Getting back to the subject at hand; I tend to get hyped about systems a lot, mostly because I don't have many changes to play with my local group due to time constraints. When I got my 5th edition Player's handbook for D&D, I proceeded to make 12 characters - one for each class - and then created 12 more variations, all using Myth-weavers, and made as many custom minifigures on Hero Forge without ordering them. I haven't played any of these characters yet, and may never do so, but creating character concepts for me is part of the fun of exploring new systems and seeing what they can do.
