In Topic: Shattered Star Session 45

12 September 2015 - 04:12 PM

Just finished listening to #44. Looking forward to the new sessions.

What I like in this series is the balance between gaming chat/banter, book-keeping and gaming. I enjoy the podcasts most where I can imagine myself part of the group (including the "irrelevant" chat, the rules discussions and the in jokes. Also the recording quality is generally very good.

In Topic: 90 Old School Tabletop RPGs

So I saw this online and thought it might be helpful to those answering the #RPGaDay question today :)

90 Old School Tabletop RPGs

I got 25 - which I think is kind of appalling. There were some that I had played later versions of and some that I own but may never have played but some are super super obscure :)

Lets see how you all do. My money is on The Hall to win this one :P

Hal :hal:

Couldn't resist minor thread necromancy. I have owned or played only 24 and sadly probably only own about 12 or so now (maybe fewer).

Apologies, I seem to be taking over a greetings thread with shattered star talk.

OK with me. I'm a fairly lenient GM - mind you I have mostly been running D&D/pathfinder with my sons and didn't want to be too lethal early on. They just asked me to make it a bit more challenging. The half-orc sorcerer nearly got sliced to shreds in RotRL (but my oldest son remembered the squeezing rules at the last moment - turns out they apply to hit and not just AC).

Greetings and welcome. Module 4 of shattered star is within my hands, ready to challenge players with so much evilness.

You have been fairly non-evil as a GM. At least you handled the Seugathi death trap encounter rather sensitively! Most of the other issues were lack of flying and being a tad unlucky ...
