#97823 [F**k] Alan Rickman is dead

Posted by Heather on 31 January 2016 - 10:19 PM

I once saw this trippy indie movie called "Closet World".  Wickedly brilliant in my opinion.

Rickman had a natural talent to play complicated characters with a vast gradient of greys when they no doubt were written to be black and white.  He acted, directed, brought many characters to life and made them memorable. From a twitch to his lip to a subtle gesture, Alan Rickman was a treasure to the acting community and the world is a bit colder with his loss.

If I may @NinjaMonkey :

I do not believe @Lockhart is attempting to steal any sort of spotlight or be "That Guy" that intentionally causes friction.  Call me biased if you may, but hear me out.

Outside this forum, Lockhart is an accountant; rules are pretty much how he makes his potential living. His mind is like a steel-trap when it comes to mechanics and how certain combinations work; thus why he double checks with Hal with good intentions when it comes to how the game is played.  I can understand when his GM-brain takes over, it's easy to say that he has control issues and wants to just take over. However, that is simply how he's wired. Telling him to tone it down is like telling someone outright not to think of monkeys all day or not scratch your nose. He'd be the first to admit that it's a flaw of his.

I am a meek, quiet player. There are occasions my character can stand up for themselves and I interact with the game outright. However, I'm such an introvert when it comes to discussions, be amazed I say anything at all. I'm still learning this whole system and my brain will always glitch when it comes to recalling things that Lockhart and Hal bring up. Personally, I find the constant rule discussions wonderful because it's giving me another angle in the attempt to learn how this game works.

If Hal becomes uncertain about something, he can console in Lockhart to help him figure it out. They've been exposed to each other enough to tolerate each others' individual styles and still manage to function. If Hal honestly had a problem with Lockhart's interruptions, he'd tell him; they respect each other enough to be up front with one another, I'm confident in that fact at least.

Though I agree that Lockhart can be a bit wordy; however he understands things quickly and knows how to react. While the other quieter characters like myself can listen to him and weigh the options if that makes sense.

Not that I'm hashing on you, that's certainly not it. Just thought I'd insert another opinion for the forum to consider.

#89974 Ask Kasnas!

So, umm. Kasnas. There comes a time in, uh, every young lady's life where... Y'know, she has to ask herself a very, very important question. A question regarding a delicate and... intimate decision. A life choice, as it were. Aheheh.

Ahem. Here goes: Ninja or Pirate?

  • If Kasnas multi-classed as a wizard (or witch) and ended up at Hogwarts, which house would she join?

I totally cheated! >.< I am a horrible person. http://2.bp.blogspot...inky-mohawk.jpg

  • Is there an amusing (and possibly slightly embarrassing) anecdote that explains how Kasnas got her nickname, "Little Dagger"?

Just FYI and thanks to the gracious Mod Powers of @Lockhart

This lil' thread that once was "Any Tumblr-heads Out There?"

Has now been changed to "Ask Kasnas!"

Since I've been accepting questions here, might as well roll with it right?
