How isit that ths far all of Fin's character I've heard him play (to be fair, only up to Ep 8 or so of WLD in addition to BW ep 4) are homicidal sociopaths?

And how the hell is it that Lindsay would get a degree in bioarchiology, but wanna go into the apperal business? Seriously, I am trying to find a link, an it just ain't workin'...

And quit bitchin about the heat... I work in at least 30 degrees C ,and about 85% humidity...

Quit yer bitchin'...

Hmm

I think that you dont always know what you want to do until you have already started doing something else. I do love archaeology, especially the bioarch aspect of it, but its

a) hard to get a decent job in the subject, especially if..
b) your moving to Texas, who have even fewer jobs going.

I love clothes, most of the people who know me can vouch for this. I also want to own my own business, so it seemed (at least to me) a natural step.

Im very glad i did my degree, and if i dont manage to make my idea work, i still have a decent degree to fall back on.

And i hate the heat, gos only knows why im going to Texas...i may liquidify!

What part of Texas are you moving to? Bits of the panhandle see snow on a yearly basis, which ain't too bad. Still, if the Good Baby Jesus asked to borrow my air conditioner to help, y'know, old people and little orphans I might have to punch him right in the face. Borrow my AC my ass, Jesus.

Yeah you'll be in hell during the summer...

Most places in the US are hot as hell in the summer.

Thankfuly you'll maybe hav a little less humidity...

And central IL has an associates program were I go for CSI... One of like 5 or 6 fully acredited ones, actually...

But I don't advise anyone move to Illinois. Once I have my Associates in Accountancy, I'm going to Kansas State Was born outside the city the university is in, so it'll be like truly going home)

nce I get my degree, I'll even help ya with yer books for the business... :)

Hey, now! Chicago is great! We've got a great geek scene, loads of museums, solid public transportation, and somehow--despite all the corruption--the city manages to fund a lot of bread and circuses. But I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in this state; that's for certain...

Face,

I read this 10 minutes ago and I'm still laughing...

I'm worried I may be part-Texan.

Only part of the geek scene in chi-town I know are the cammies...

Yeah.. I hate White Wolf, and 99% of the members of thier fanclub... It's a charcter flaw to be cammie, I swear...

But the state, as whole, stinks completely... Sall parts of Chicago are great... But the good loses out to the "suck" of the rest of this god-frosaken hell-hole...

Yeah, all the best horrible gamer stories involve World of Darness games (Werewolf, especially). My geek scene here is comics-focused (making 'em, not collecting 'em) rather than RPG-focused, though. Most of them have left their RPG days behind them . . . and I am dying for a game. :( They are awesome people, though, and one day I will manage to drag them back to the funny-shaped dice.
