If you lot are interested I can post it up here. It is very nice and set in the Shadow World, which is an excellent setting :P

Perhaps I can persuade Lindsay to run it ;)

I would pay money to hear Lindsay GM. That would be seriously awesome.

Anyway, my preference is just to house rule the living hell out of d20. True20 is quite a bit closer to my perfect OGL game--good bye, character classes!--but perhaps a bit too simplified.

Rolemaster looks interesting... in fact, I'm semi-familiar with the system as to the fact that I own (an have played, a few times, before players got too confused) the Swedish LotR RPG, which is a translated and somewhat simplified version of MERP (which, as far as I've understood, is a simplified and modified version of Rolemaster, the simplifications of which were then used in the creation of Rolemaster 2. I might be wrong, though =) ).
Of course, the problem was that since the game had been simplified in two steps, and some tables had apparantly been removed (the tables booklet wasn't much thicker than the rules booklet IIRC), they had some weird effects - for example I believe that wearing bracers would hinder you somewhat (sensible), but they wouldn't actually help you at all because all the damage results which took bracers into the account were in tables or rules that had been cut...)

Huh. I know nothing of Rolemaster beyond the old "More like Rollmaster!" stories, but what I've seen in this pile of PDFs is getting me interested in the Shadow World setting.

Rolemaster is excellent. Sadly I prefer the Second Edition of the game - the Basic System stuff is not so great in my opinion :D

Hal likes faff and arse!

Hence, he like Rolemaster...takes 10 mins to find out if youve hit or not, and a further 15 to figure out where you have hit...

I'll be trying to run Rolemaster FRP I guess. Seems to be OK, apart from having the 3 phases of a turn which seems to be over-complicated to me, but we'll see.

Which was the one that had all the companion books? That one I liked, despite the plethora of characters by about companion 7 or so...

That was second edition!

The one I like! Most of the characters in Companion 7 were so overpowered and wonderful that they were almost always banned banned banned :D

The Grand Campaign is for Second Edition :D

I actually like the D20 rules (although I tend to play a subset of them).
But the game I always liked the best was Runequest.

Alas, no-one other than me ever had the rulebook, so it was just me and my little group playing. :(

I've heard that Chaosium are bringing out an updated generic version with a different name later this year. I await that with great interest.

I thought so, all that talk about Warlocks. Companion 2, all those skill tables...

And Lindsay, it's not Faff, it's ACE :D

AND, my wife is watching Weeds. That is SUCH a weird show...

Runequest RPG has just been released. It looks ace, but as I'm banned from buying any roleplaying stuff, I wouldn't know... :(

It is a very thin book as they have pulled out all the setting and it is being released seperately.
