GURPS: Flight 13 09 – Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Posted Image

Separated by many miles, yet brought together through remarkable advances in SCIENCE, the Whartson Hall Aethernauts embark on a journey of nightmarish horror!

Nick dials up the horror with relentless Matt Berry impressions and the game grows ever more deadly as we race towards the bowel-loosening conclusion.

The Game: GURPS by Steve Jackson and friends. The adventure is Flight 13 written by W.G. Armintrout.
Flight 13 intro is by Nick Marsh, featuring the track Twilight Deep Zone by forever_young, used under licence.
The Whartson Hall Aethernauts play through the Google+ Hangouts facility rather than face-to-face in a room. Any reduction in sound quality is due to drums... drums in the deep...

The Players:
Nick: The Dennis Wheatley of Slaughtering Neatly, the Anne Rice of Terror and Vice, the Brian Lumley of Gaming Glumly etc.
Amelia: Dr Melissa Courtenay
Jon: Brian Hillman
Riddles: Sid James

"The planet of the Osmonds?"

Great stuff. I agree with you guys that the earlier episodes did sound more fun, but you kept the action rolling.

A good spooky finish and Casablanca quotes are always welcome.

was this gurps 3e or 4e? If 3e I know the old blow-through rules would have let you pepper some folks a lot longer. Damage to a foot maxes out at like HT/3 I think. I think neck counts as vitals so that maxes out at HTx3 and the results are grim and grim indeed.

Just the ending? That was the only bizarre bit?

This isn't about my airport description again is it?

You wait until we play GURPS Traveller and a frigate shows up...

With Whartson Hall Traveller I'd expect Pinnaces as far as the eye can see.

That was great fun to listen to. I agree with the esteemed players, it is quite bonkers, and no courses of action seemed better than any others.

Thank you, Nick & the Players.
