There are probably plenty of site members who only visit occasionally, who might not have even heard that the Bag is open again. As has been mentioned in the past, maybe you could get the site members to be more active if you sent out a monthly or bimonthly (or just whenever-ly) site newsletter, Hal. ;) You've gotten people's email addresses when they sign up for membership on the site, right?

Technically I believe it's slightly illegal to send out a newsletter that hasn't specifically been signed up for.

Whoops, sorry. You're absolutely right - Pr0n Santa wouldn't settle for anything less than something outrageously illegal. ;) Although that raises the question of how many elves it'll take to deliver all those notifications by rectal probing site members? :gimp:

Are there any particular reasons people are choosing not to sign up? Feedback is nice people. :D

Sorry, Money is tight in the Aethyrverse this year. And I still need to get a game together from last years gift.

True, but I always feel a little intrusive sending out emails like that... but you are correct.

Perhaps an email might work for getting people interesting in the Bag this year :) And maybe some kind of regular email might keep them coming back :)

If the quasi-legality of sending people a regular email newsletter that they didn't sign up for is a concern, maybe you could start by sending a mass email notifying people that you're planning on starting a newsletter, and if they want to opt out of receiving it, they can click on a link and unsubscribe. Besides, it's usually standard practice for website newsletters to include an "unsubscribe link" at the end of their emails, so people can quickly and easily avoid receiving any more mails, if they so choose.

Might be too high.

If you lower the suggested cost of the gifts too far, isn't there a risk that people might end up spending more money on postage and shipping than on the present itself?

Come on @PencilMonkey, @Tulty, @Cob37 and all you regular contributors....

Hal :hal:

I am unable to contribute to the Holiday Bag due to making some bad decisions but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully next year I will feel safe donating $30.  It's not that much in the big scheme of things but sometimes timing is everything.

Thanks for thinking of me as part of the rpgmp3 community.

All

The form is closed and the victims have been assigned - you should have received it via PM.

Apologies if you have someone you have purchased for in previous years - the pool was rather smaller than usual this year but once those who opt for Own Country or Own Continent were taken into account it was random as always :)

Let me know if you didn't get an assignment and expected one or if you have any problems :)

Cheers

Hal :hal:

I have enlisted Feylin's helper (called Amazon), who should be delivering a package to their good little bugger bagger shortly.

Doctor Internet failed to provide me goft options I Feylin was pleased with.

Had to hit up local merchants and will be discussing shipping usury with Feylin's leg breaker elves over lunch tomorrow or the next day.
