At the moment I’m trying to write a scenario set in deep space, but I need help because my inspiration has run dry when it comes to floor plans.

Does anyone here know of any place in the whole of Internetland where there are FREE floor plans of spaceships that I could use as a basis for my own variants? My searches have so far turned up nothing useful.

I’d like Starship designs but I particularly need plans for a space station (the bigger the better).

I thinking more Alien-esqe in style rather than Star Trek or Star Wars.

I came up with these after a quick search, you have to pay for them though.

I'll check my archives. I have a bunch of deckplans for Traveller spaceships and stations, and a few others floating about someplace.

Cheers Will_Save, that Second links is very good

My search so far had only turned up this:

http://www.sjgames.c... ... fpromo.pdf

But my search improved when I searched for Deck plans instead of Floor plans. It's obvious when you think about it I suppose

Other good stuff (not deck plans)

Good Size comparison site (like the Cthulhu chart in CoC 4th ed.);

Dyson Sphere FAQ (for anyone who's read Bob Shaw's Orbitsville)

and this is quite amusing;

Have a look in the Campaign Cartographer library (and the user pages for it) http://www.profantasy.com, and have a look off the links on http://www.battlegroundsgames.com. I'm sure I've seen starships on both.

Campaign Cartographer had an auxiliary product based on the same tech called the Atlas of Faerun. Now that's something I'd love to get my hands on. It even lets you view Faerun as a globe, a bit like Google Earth

I've had it since the old DOS days, and have just purchased CC3. It's a good product for making maps, not so good for making battle-maps. In my increased free time, I'm starting to work on it again...

The Atlas is alas no more as the licencing agreement is lapsed. There is a link at http://www.profantas...fratlashome.htm about it

Time to dig out my Rolemaster FRP books and make a campaign me-thinks...

I picked up at bargain price the "Atlas of Faerun". Oh, this is SO worth it, too.. it's a bit like Google Earth for Faerun. Naturally not even close to as detailed (being a fake world), but still!

As for floor plans for starships, how about one for the DEATH STAR™? :)

Vader: "I am your father..."

Luke: "Noooooooooo!! That's impossible!!!"

Vader: "And Leia is your sister!"

Luke: "That's... Highly unlikely?"

Vader: "And the force? That's just little organisms in your blood called midichlorions..."

Luke: "Ok, look, if you aren't going to take this seriously..." *Walks away*
