Hey folks :D

I have been teasing you with things for a little while now regarding the next game. Well here it is :D

In advance of the release of Ptolus by Monte Cook, RPGMP3 are tackling The Banewarrens.

The Banewarrens Session 1

If you want to podcast it, the URL is http://www.rpgmp3.co...w/bwpodcast.xml

You can also view the Character Stat Blocks and even pick up the adventure on PDF at DrivethruRPG Banewarrens Link

I hope you enjoy this one. I am really enjoying running it and it is allowing the players much more space to actually roleplay than the confines of the Big Dungeon :D

Let me know what you think!

I can't seem to get the podcast to work with iTunes, but I'm just downloading the MP3 straight to give it a listen.

Just remember, Martha might seem bossy, but she likes it if you take a firm hand with her.

Regarding iTunes, I have submitted it so it should be live shortly, once they have had a chance to review it :D

Then you can subscribe directly through there as well :D

Glad you are liking it. I am really enjoying running it actually. The roleplaying aspect is so much more accesible that in the Dungeon and it is so well written! Well worth a look! :D There are also the setting books that are currently being released by Monte which are snippets of the main Ptolus book.

Ptolus: The World of Praemal
Ptolus: Organisations

Also good for a little background is:
Ptolus: City By The Spire : Part 1 - the comic for the setting :P

Enjoy it folks!

Im SOOOO glad Hal has managed to find time to get this out to the general public.

I Love this game...I was a little intimidated by trying to play a "grown up" and a magic user, its obviously not my normal style but i love the game and my character.

I think the bit i like best, apart from the love of not being in a dungeon, is the variety of things that can happen. We are able to interact with so much, and even the interactions between us seem less forced. I think the dungeon stunted our creativity a little, it wasnt easy to roleplay the same situation for 41 session. Although there were differing areas to the dungeon, this setting seems...free-er!

Anyway, il stop gushing now (stop that Right now Mr Thing/Errand) and let you post up more about it.

Id really appreciate some feedback on how im playing the character, as i am finding it slighly more challenging...do i manage Magic user ok or should i have stuck to the rogue?

Excellent news - I will listen to it this weekend. I'm a big fan of Monte's stuff and I'm also on the Ptolus pre-order list thanks to Mrs Ffaern's birthday largesse.

It might be the thing that finally starts me running 3rd edition!

Lindsay, you're doing fine with your wizard from what I've heard so far. Wizards are among the hardest characters for a player to manage because you sink or swim by your spell selection (or in your case, fly :) ). I'm playing a Wizard 1/Cleric 1 in a local game and I'm beginning to remember just how hard it is to manage a wizard's prepared spells.

Just listened to the first hour while painting miniatures.

I'm smiling from ear to ear :) .

I can't decide whether the voice at the begining is very creepy or funny - it is walking a tightrope somewhere in between I think.

I bet it's someone we know from RPGMP3.COM slowed down and teaked with a little bit of technical wizadry thrown in no doubt.

Re-naming spells is a really brilliant idea even if it is a pain in the arse to remember old name and the new name.
