Just think I'll leave this here for those who have nostalgia about such things :)

Oh, good! Once that pug is nice and plump, it'll make an excellent snack for all the adventurers. :)

We were chatting about the new Gauntlet last night. I wasn't enthusiastic, but Martin mentioned that the update looked pretty much like Baldur's Gate, which we played to death on the PS2 years ago; seems to be spot-on judging by that video. Much more interested now :D

Lindsay and I finished Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II on the PS.

The second one was a little less satisfying...

Absolutely loved the first one. Bought it for my PC, which is when I discovered that the PC version and the PS2 version are actually completely different sorts of games :(

I generally call the PS2 ones 'Dark Alliance' to prevent confusion. On the other hand, if you liked Dark Alliance, then there are a few more options for you. Demon Stone is also set in the Forgotten Realms and pretty much uses the same game engine and gameplay. There are also two Lord of the Rings games that have pretty much the same playstyle, and I've heard that Champions of Norrath I and II would likely be fun if that's the sort of game you're looking for. I think they're all available for PC, but I could be wrong in some cases. They're all from around the same timeframe, which is long enough ago for things to have gotten fuzzy.
