Hey - some chat over there is fine :)

Need to have a social media presence :D This is the future damn it :D

Just posting the odd funny pic over there - almost all the FB Page Members are site members already but I am hoping that some shares from over there will pull users through the FB Page to the actual site :)

Need to get me some more Rolemaster going - it has been rolling about in my head for a little bit now and it might be time to see if we can work it into the schedule...

1000000000 more Likes. Thanks to your original run I ran Rolemaster Classic at the lest game con AND my home group is asking to return to it from Savage Worlds

Awesome I love Rolemaster - perhaps this time around I will get around to writing up my house rules

Wow, people are really keen on Rolemaster. :)

YES!! I had bombarded the forums with such requests and had given into despair when it wasn't going to happen. :)

I want to - it is just finding the time to make it happen :)

Understand completely...

I mean the character creation alone will take 9 weeks :D

HAHAHAHAA! Yep, that is my experience as well.

Good characters in general but you feel bad killing them off when the players put so much work into them :D

but... but... more limbs come off in RQ....

True :) It is still not as bad for amputation as Sengoku in my experience...

of course a well designed spreadsheet with class, skill (primary, secondary, hobby....) spell lists or individual spell picks and a 10 page booklet prepared by the GM saying which rules from which companions they intend to use should cut generation down to about 7 weeks...

Yes please

I loved that last one so much. Please do!

Pretty sure that The Most Interesting Man in the World ads are pretty much US only but I thought that this was funny nonetheless.

Big deal. Hobbits are always pooping in their trousers.

Its all those second breakfasts :)

Quoted from the BAGgies' Sundered Skies campaign. :)

Presumably a cleric then. :)

Reminds me of a game I ran where a Harpy had charmed an entire goblin village. She had them attack the group while she made good her escape. Goblin toddlers with sharpened spoons went down before the flurry of blades and magic. I think I emotionally scarred my group forever. Win!

Poor Old Kirk... :)

Hey that ain't funny! I've been taken out by a Kobold wizard.... I said that out loud didn't I?

You are sharing his pain :)

Oh dear! Will the next audio from the RPGMP3 Pros feature burlesque dancers and Jell-O fights? :O (More importantly: will there be a full and detailed video recording?) ;) No doubt @Thing will have something to say on the topic...

10297711_10152228426473682_7679243224111

I did a triple take on this because it made me laugh so hard. And I kept thinking about it more and more. Hahaha. Love it.

Hey - all it takes is for you to get your ass around a game table and you could be fighting Jello-O yourself :)

A few of our burlesque friends have gamed in the past - perhaps we might have some luck getting them to the table for a one off? :)

Whatcha think?

Or you could watch Tifa perform wearing a headpiece designed by the World's Most Awesome Milliner, @Lindsay

Might not be quite safe for work though there are no actual boobies or anything. It's all really classy, like :)

Hmm...I need to look up the rules for phylacteries. I'd love to try and pull this on my players. Old flames who grew to hate each other as the years passed, so they keep on opposite sides of the game world from each other if they can help it, but it's too late to change things now and the hate runs cold enough that they won't try and torture and kill each other when they regenerate...

I wonder if Lockhart has this problem? We will likely never know as he doesn't have Facebook :P

Ruby was helping yesterday when Nick and I were playing 70s boardgames and audio recording it for the site. Ruby was acting as official rules pug as we ruined England and Wales by killing all the nobles and grinding the country into anarchy.

Hey Monkey :)

Fixed the pug pic there because pugs are awesome :)

Nick and I recorded as session of Hexagony and a session of Kingmaker as part of a new set of recordings lovingly entitled, "Nick Rage-Quits 70s Board Games" :)

He got a load of them for free so it kind of made sense. We are avoiding Wooden Ships and Iron Men because it looks mighty intimidating. The ships have a data sheet similar to Battletech. Saying that I can play Battletech so maybe it won't be that bad...

Morning all (this is Lindsay).

Spotted on the BBC earlier. I loved these books at school. I was the friendless nerd who sat in the library during lunch reading these. :)

The retro cult around Fighting Fantasy gamebooks

_77075565_fighting-fantasy.jpg

I still had some of these until about 4 years ago. I definitely cheated.

Deathtrap Dungeon and Scorpion Swamp were both extremely influential on my early development as a GM. My first homebrew adventures were written in the style of FF with branches at player choices and so worth.

Even now I still use a similar method in my Tropis adventures and my old school stuff constantly hears me ask of my players "What do you do?" a throwback to these wonderful books.

I have ALL of them--all variants of the Choose Your Own Adventure and Fighting Fantasy books. I was such a completist back then as well: "well, what IF I tried to fight the frost giant with a spoon??" LOL

I always made the wrong choices and died!
