The illustrator who defined the look of D&D in the early years has passed away.

People who have perused the hallowed pages of the old issues of Dragon magazine might also recall his cartoon, Wormy.

Wow... More sad news. First we loose Brian Gibson (he did a lot of the early Traveller artwork) and now we lose David. 2014 isn't shaping up to be a good year for the industry's older artists. 


Well, here's to the game David's artwork helped define, and the legacy he leaves behind. May his journey to whatever afterlife he desired be an easy one, and may both body and soul rest in peace. *downs a glass of rum*
