I go back to listen to all 39 episodes every so often or so because it's just that awesome.

Fixed that for you, Mr. Patron. ;)

I'd offer to play (Rolemaster is how I found the site) but I'm a lousy player :)

Well, on the off chance it matters, I'd be more than willing to fire up my masochistic elven healer of questionable gender preference and his collection of curious herbs with loosely defined purposes for the sake of getting things moving. Should free up Ned for a role he'd enjoy more :P

Also, yes. We need more rolemaster.

As a side note, for those of you that want a bit of rolemaster without jumping headlong into the whole system (which can be quite overwhelming), one of the best tricks I've found so far for mixing the crit tables with a 3.5/pathfinder game is to get rid of critical confirmation roles, then give all 18-20 weapons A crits, 19-20 weapons B crits, and 20 weapons C crits. If you've got it, using the spell critical tables is also fun, but it does tend to make the touch attacks and rays very OP relative to other spells. I tend to prefer just using martial crits to balance out the martial classes some in the later game, as having a fighter with cleave, 4 attacks a round, and a decent longsword actually puts out decently comparable dps when they get more solid chances to crit. It should be noted, however, that you might want to consider taking away the damage multiplier for crits. The criticals' extra effects alone more than make up for loosing that most times. For bleed effects (which are far worse in RM than PF) you also might want to consider dividing that number by 5 to make it somewhat more manageable. Having 10-15 bleed from a crit in pathfinder adds up really, really fast.

I love Rolemaster but I can't commit to more than a single game a the moment. Things are pretty hectic for free time at the moment unfortunately.

As soon as things slow down I will see what I can do about getting something going. I think it would be pretty awesome to run something over the net in RM and perhaps even get my house rules for 2nd edition out of my head and on to paper :)

(starts to think about plots and exciting things)

Perhaps I can queue it up for after we finish Shattered Star...

Isn't that like 50+ episodes away (based on the calculation in episode 30)?

We've heard The Elf just gettin' high on herbs in Lethys
And Mögar Earthfury turn into Plastic-Man
And although Hal would give them fits
It wasn't only from the crits
His dice are still in hand

We've heard the Albatrosity go down on pirates
Mezkhar Faslurin's armor fashion was the bomb
And Ailish with her toothy smile
Stays in your mem'ry for a while
We hope for more to come

But it's far, far away
Now that Hal's got nice, new toys
Why's it far, far away?
Is it 'cause she is Vorloi?
Well, it's far, far away
But the shouts from Chris are loud
Still as loud

What's that, television's Hugh Laurie? You want to play Rolemaster, too? Why, of course! Here's a pre-gen you can have: it's a healer who intentionally cripples himself to... Pardon? Oh, you've already played one of those for several years? Wow, is that campaign recorded somewhere? :)

There are times, Mr. Monkey, when the amount of stuff you find on the internet leaves me both terrified and reassured that such buffoonery still exists in the universe.

I would love another rolemaster game to start. The first was epic. The character were great. The only drawback was that it ended after only 31 sessions or so. You have one listener here Hal that will eagerly await each session.

On a side note I'm currently on session 9 of shattered star. Looking forward to hearing the rest.

There are actually 39 episodes I believe. The last few were in the patron section and I don't think they ever moved to the public side though

If you're a Rolemaster fan, those super-secret episodes might well be worth the price of Patronhood. :)

Just as an FYI, I'm thinking of starting up a Spacemaster (Rolemaster in a Sci-Fi setting) online game on Monday mornings/afternoons.

Spacemaster is cool - I haven't played it in ages. If you record it I will host it if you like :)

So are you saying I should remove all the RPGMP3-spy-bugs and other hidden recording equipment that somebody "accidentally" left in your gaming den? ;)
