Hopefully, the Yoggies' Professor Moretti might get a cameo. :)

He's actually going to be one of the sample characters, I believe :)

Sample, eh? Will there be samples of his famous Swiss pizza, as well? ;)

It would be neat if there was a special 'HotOE Yog Edition' version of the game to play, maybe one where you had to achieve the same feats that the Yoggies did:

'STICKS AND STONES' - This achievement is unlocked when you've purchased a new walking stick (good quality, yew minimum, drilled and filled with lead shot optional) from every nation along the route - and beaten a cultist with 'em.

Apropos, but off-topic, we need a YSDC Recording Drinking Game.

* Reference to a member of the Goodenough family.
* NPC is invited to PC's house for tea.
* "Oh, my Lord!"
* Neil rolls a botch.
* Paul brings forth a new (crippled) character.
* "What?!"

I have actually written a HotOE drinking game, believe it or not! It appeared on the Yoggie DVD they produced a little while back

"Timmy" - This achievement is earned when you have hired a street child to run errands in every country along the orient express route.

On a semi-related note, here's a drinking game for the great man himself that I wrote a few years ago (only cost 1d3 san):

The HP Lovecraft Drinking Game

Can any of us think of a better way to spend our evenings than sitting in our favourite armchair, lighting up a fine Cuban cigar, dusting off that old tome, and reading old, wonderful tales that remind us of the futility of life, our cosmic irrelevance, and the inevitability of the total extinction of mankind?

Well, why not dull the horror and hostility of reality with our very own patented Lovecraftian drinking game? Chase away those nameless terrors and raise your glasses whenever the following occurs...[i]

Take a sip of your drink whenever –

Ruins are stumbled across that are ‘cyclopean’, ‘non-euclidean’, or just plain wrong

The moon, sky or anything else is ‘gibbous’

The Necronimicon is mentioned, or another ancient, old dusty tome is consulted or referenced

Someone says ‘Iä’!

Something is either indescribable, unthinkable, unimaginable or nameless

A phrase is written in italics – down your drink if it’s the payoff twist for the whole story (you’ll need the alcohol, trust us)

Arkham or New England is mentioned or visited

Miskatonic University is mentioned (note : dangerous whilst reading At the Mountains of Madness)

A protagonist has a dream or believes they are having a dream, two sips if the dream is prophetic

A cat appears

Someone or something is ‘evil-looking’

A place is ‘cursed’, or has ‘thin’ reality

Any of these objects appear anywhere in the story – Bas Reliefs, Pentragrams, Obelisks, Tentacles, Pictographs

A cultist appears (bonus sips if said cultist is ‘insane, ‘degenerate’ or both)

A word appears in the text that no two people would pronounce the same (I’m looking at you, R’yleh!)

Down your drink whenever –

A protagonist goes is driven insane/is devoured by a Thing Man Was Not Meant To Know

The text becomes uncomfortably rascist

A word crops up that you have never heard of before and need to find a dictionary

The text genuinely creeps you out and gives you a terrible sense of cosmic horror and your own insignificance within a hostile universe (what the hell, have the rest of the bottle!)

[i] Please drink, read old tomes and worship the Great Old Ones responsibly

I don't believe for a moment that your idea of a good time involves smoking a fine Cuban cigar ;)

Does your version predate the one at CthulhuCoffee.com, do you reckon?

Whereas, of course, the drinking games of the Great Old Ones themselves predate all of humanity by untold millennia. :)

NB: Space Mead Sunrise, anyone?
