Thing sent this to me over IM and I know he isn't going to post it and I thought it was funny so here we go with the posting of the thing I think is funny also I appear not to be using punctuation for some reason

That David Eddings one defines "harsh but fair" in my book. :)

I think a lot of them could be considered harsh but fair. Thomas Covenant is pretty accurate :)

Nice. I really laughed at a good few of these. Especially as I had read most of them.

I thought several were surprisingly accurate given how comedic they were trying to be.

On a related note: Have you ever read The Princess Brie?

Oh, and this must be another one of Thing's all-time favorite novels. ;)

A few smiles there, although the Illuminatus! cover seems rather redundant. The first link has the better ones, I'd say.

What, like the fifth in his trilogy?  It's been a few years since I read it but I believe the title was Mostly Pointless or something...

Yeah, several of them are spot on and cringe worthy at the same time.

On a somewhat related note (i.e. completely opposite to what this thread is about), these books actually exist.

For once I have no words to describe the cringing, the laughter, and the downright blanching that I've done reading this topic and it's links >.<

Of course, sometimes it's those smutty librarians who manage to transform a perfectly innocent book about sewing into (seemingly) pure filth.
