OK, this is more off the wall than usual - blame the chocolate rush of Easter!

One of the eggs my sons got for Easter had a little Buckero game in and that got me thinking... (by now you're probably way ahead of me).

How about, especially for a Western style RPG (and possibly a good visual aid for conventions), using a Buckero instead of dice.

Easy challenges - only a couple of things on, more difficulty = more things.

Opposed tests - players take it in turns adding on the items until it bucks...

I quite like the idea of this, but am prepared to be shot down in flames (as usual!)... :)

Ummm, what's a Buckero ?

And,

Blasphemer
You can have my dice when you pry them from my cold, dead hands.

And even then I will haunt your ass.

Horse thing that you put things on until it bucks. Can't be a UK only thing?

OK. I can't spell (nothing new there) Buckaroo

You must have something like that in the States?

ok, I am a little out of the loop on toys for the munchkin set.

Although It seems similar to the upsized ones you put drunk girls in halter tops on in the western bars.

It's been around since we were kids, at least in the UK.

I shall have to steal my children's one to experiment with! :)

How about one of those plastic bubbles in that whatsitsname board game?

Or maybe a software dice roller on a $2000 laptop?! That's a reasonable replacement for dice. :P

We have Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension.

Yes, but they never delivered the Buckaroo Banzai vs the World Crime League that they tease about at the end of the movie.
