I like disease, ala "The Stand" by Mr King, although i think most PA ideas, if well thought out, are good...i genuinly love this kind of thing, i used to watch "The Tribe" when i was a kid, and for the Uk people "The Last Train" is one of my fave short series'.

I have to admit I still watch "The Tribe" occasionally

The Train looks like an interesting short series. I'll have to see if I can obtain copies.

Actually, the Tribe wouldn't be a bad model for the sort of thing we want. Though the thought of starting off as a teenager again doesn't fill me with joy (Artemis/Mch/whoever, your best time are ahead of you, I can assure you).

I've got another potential PA idea. Aliens arrive, kick the cr*p out of us, mine the bejesus out of the planet and then leave, leaving alot of "garbage" behind them...

If they were only here for a few months, there could be an interesting time where those survivors (the cowards and those who realised that there wasn't any hope to start with) try and rebuild some form of society, and work out what all those interesting gadgets do...

Plus you still have the chance for disease and strange animals & plants the aliens either brought with them, or experimented with on earth.

I am helping! I am using the internet as a form of stress relief from the mind numbing boredom which is a paper on the use of Levantine Mousterian Levallois points as spear tips. (yawn)

Perhaps we need to get those lazy minor miners to help out :P

Are we talking spear tips or projectile points?

Perhaps we need to get those lazy minor miners to help out :P

Hal :hal:

I am sure any contribution they would have would be minor indeed
