There's probably a website for that.

I miss painting things... we should never have left our paint set in the UK :( I still have naked ogres...

Hal :hal:

I keep trying to get back into painting.  I keep pestering The Other Half to let me buy some BattleTech 'Mechs.  The problem I have is I don't know where to start.  Its been about 8 years since I last painted anything.  Is GW still producing the best paints; who sells the 'must buy' brushes; does Hal really enjoy naked Orcs?  These questions and more bubble to the surface whenever I consider painting.  I decide finding out is likely more trouble (and expense) than its worth and go find something else to spend my money on.

Daniel.

Daniel.

GW never produced the best paints ;)

My favourite paints are from Reaper (and they'll sell you some quite acceptable brushes while you're at it). Or, any brush with a good point will work.

I suspect we would both need some of that.  I might have to check out Reaper paints, then, Smith.

I have an urge to paint up a 'Mech company to fight for the glory of House Kurita!

I'll have to set a target for myself, but I haven't even started yet. I think it will be better for me if my gaming group puts in orders 'I'll need 5 orcs for the next game"

My group is finishing up the 2nd kingmaker book so for me it would be

That, actually, used to work wonders for me back-in-the-day, Melkior.  Going, "hm, I need a maximum of 16 orcs, 12 goblins and 2 Owlbears for the next game.  Oh and half a dozen Skelly-bobs!" and then making sure I had them ready was a great motivator.  It also meant that the games looked better, more colourful, and it actually encouraged me to -- you know -- do that whole 'planning ahead' thing.

Not having used Miniatures for so long for roleplay, I suppose that might be why I fell out of the painting tree.

Danny, if you're wanting to get back into painting how about you pay me for those miniatures I ordered for you (and have kept ever since because you never claimed them).

There were some issues with lighting and getting my iphone to focus for the pics, but I think you get the idea.

Hmm, iPhone, you say?

Sorry, @Balgin, I literally only just saw your post.  Chuck me a PM, including postage and a fiver, as a small apology.  I'll get the funds transferred next week.

I had honestly completely forgotten about this.

Balgin the Dwarf: "Harrumph! Ye finicky frilly frolicker, have ye forgotten the debt of monetary golden gold what ye owe me, by reason of not having paid it back?" viking_emoticon_by_Giluc.png

Dannilliani the Elf: "Hmm? What was that, stout filing cabinet? I was... *Le Sigh* ...Completely engrossed in the splennn-dorrr of this patch of taupe moss, slowly meandering its way across the dew-speckled bark of my venerable oaken brother-in-leaves." emoji34_by_emoji_icon-d6kvc52.gif

What? After the way you treated me do you expect me to be nice to you?

I'll have a rummage and see if I can find them (pretty sure I can). When I've unearthed them from the unpainted lead mountain I'll get back in touch. It might take a while 'though.

Take it to the PMs, Balgin.  Neither of us were particularly well behaved back then, lets not drag up the past in public. :)

Unless you're going to settle your differences with mud wrestling. Or foxy boxing. Then it should totally be done in public. ;)

Hm...oddly enough, I'm fairly certain I have the fur to put something like that together.  My LARP surplus pile is getting high. :D

...You do realize that 'foxy boxing' rarely involves furry cosplay costumes, or indeed, any form of actual foxes, don't you? sceptical_by_kath602-d6q5o13.gif
