This was a particularly good use of the Champions system.

I've only gotten to play one session of heroic level star hero and all other experiences have been super heroic.

Very good post apocalyptic start also. Enjoyed the series very much.

Have you listened to their Crusaders campaign yet? Only one of the sessions has ended up being released to the public, but it's pretty great. (And it's got actual superheroes in the HERO system.) ;)

Guest__*: Hero System is pretty cool indeed and this campaign is great listening! :D Thanks all! :)
Snappyapple: Oh yes, it's very cool. I do wish people I game with don't run away when I show them the HERO rulebook though... It's a bit complex and it used to take me 3-4 tries just to get the math right for my characters to be approved. I can't imagine nowadays how I'd make characters without Hero Designer.
ThistledownJohn: I kept my players from running by using heavy padlocks on the doors to the gaming lair. :D
Hal: Sneak up behind them with the rulebook and smack them in the legs with it - that will stop them running away :)
Guest__*: Not that the full version of the rule book is big or anything but someone once did a ballistics test on the Fifth Edition Core Rules! 8O

:O

Also, Hal always forgets to copy+paste the cast of characters, when he transfers files from the archive to the new site:

  • Nathan - Joey Crews
  • Dan - Dr. Dominic Delacroix
  • Drew - Dunston Marlowe
  • Tony - Dr. Bob
  • John - The GM
