Aside from the servers falling over rather frequently (which might at least show that there's some enthusiasm for the old games) I like the way they're approaching this, at long last. Previous legitimate downloads from DriveThruRPG can be replaced with the new versions, as they become available, which is probably going to be worthwhile as these look to be greatly improved scans. They've also picked a fair selection of products to start with, from across the range, although I'd be happier with less from 2nd, 3rd and 4th editions and more of the good stuff from earlier... but then this isn't just for me

Can't wait to see how the original D&D scan compares to the earlier one.

I've still got my 1981 D&D Basic book on the shelf downstairs. Admittedly it's held together by Sellotape but, by Gum, it's still with us! However I am salivating at the idea of having it in PDF... And some of that lovely 1E stuff.

I'm another 1E person you see. We moved on to Cthulhu, Rolemaster & Champions before 2E came out and that was that. Still, this dndclassics site is SHINY! 8)

I've got my basic set, my 1st edition AD&D books, although my monster manual only lives via duct tape (Bought the permium reprints though) and 2nd edition books. I still have barrier peaks and a few AD&D modules, but I would love high quality PDFs of most of those

I'm amazed at just how bad my knowledge of anything beyond 1E is! I mean, "HR1 Vikings Campaign Sourcebook"? What? I've never even heard of it!

But the 1E stuff is so shiny... soooo shiny...

Note to self: Must stop browsing dndclassics or I will, repeat WILL, start spending money! :)
