Colt superstars from the 90's? Wow, that's digging deep.

OK, then think of me as a less furry Ray Dragon; only, with more of a tendency to eat a donut.

Wade is a local guy. I still run into him once in a while while doing charity work. So, no, not digging all that deep :(

There used to be a gay porn star with a pink maple leaf on his chest. For the life of me I can't remember his name. He was big in the mid to late 90's. Kind of frat-boy looking. He never really did anything for me, I just can't remember his name. Oh well, it will come to me.

Delurking for a minute to weigh in on the falling speed thing. (I'm going to assume that Lockhart has already taken Hal to task on the patron boards for letting hold person work on an outsider.)

500 feet in the first round is a fairly good approximation. A full six-second fall with no drag would get you about 684 feet in a round, moving at a speed of 1368 feet per round. You keep going faster and faster until you hit terminal velocity, which will probably happen sometime early in the second round, so just fudging it to 500 feet on the first round and 1500 feet per round after is probably close enough for game purposes.

Keep up the good work, gang! Just because I don't pipe up on the boards very often doesn't mean I don't enjoy the shows! Or that I'm not desperately hoping that my income stabilizes at a high enough level to become a patron sometime soon!

Oh believe me. Tasks were taken to.

I hate to do this but...you can't use hold person on devils, no matter how human looking they are. They're an outsider type and need hold monster to freeze them.

Thanks for delurking!

Yeah - my bad!

I was juggling a lot with that one and to be honest it seemed pretty hardcore as an encounter so I was happy to let it slide.

I think the party might have had a HUGE problem with that encounter had I let it run on. They don't really have a huge amount of ranged stuff so she could just fly above them at bow range and pick them off until her summon spell expired and she vanished...

I have been a little slack on the releases this past week or so. I have a family bereavement and then we were helping my parents move house so I have quite a lot to get released. It is not just the main site. The Patrons are suffering too :)

Cheers

See, I would argue that 'hold person' would work on any humanoid creature. In physical form rather than any magical attributes. But then again, I would also argue that a portmanteau is neither a port nor a manteau.

Aww, I fall behind in my listening and miss all the rules lawyering fun (although they're probably already done in the patron's area before).

6 seconds of free fall at rest is approximately 580 feet, so 500 feet is close enough, and without the new implicit ruling by the spellcasting and falling thing, there would be no ruling at all in this in 3.5 originally. (which bugged me more in the Mutants and Masterminds ruleset before because of how often people are being flung into the sky).

Secondly, I hold the opinion that holding your breath requires some conscious preparation (although this is not in the ruleset as far as I know, and colored by the fact that I remember this in M&M ruleset, which rules that you could only hold your breath for 1 round per point of Constitution without one round to take a deep breath).

I should catch up on the rest of Carrion Crown and have more relevant comments, lol.

That's OK, we've been a bit lax in recording, but we've decided on a schedule, so we should be back to normal.

How does a Danish monkey like yourself even know what mac and cheese is? I can't imagine it's the 'go-to' picnic dish while you all are ice skating around the fjords and checking each other for frostbite.

A disturbingly accurate comic strip outlining the insane eating practices of wannabe vikings...

Voi kyrpä! Mr Monkey, how long have you been waiting to bust out that visual aid?

G

p.s. The little Denmark guy is EXACTLY what I think Pencil Monkey looks like!

Go check your dartboard, it may still have that nude photo hanging on it, y'know...

And the comic is made by a very nice lady, if you click on it you'll find her website with more of the same; Lockhart seems to have beaten you to it.

Silly Monkey, that particular image isn't on my dartboard. It's on my nightstand, next to the lube and Kleenex.

Oh good, someone else drew it. I was a afraid it was you because then I'd have to admit I thought it was cute and the last part of you I'd want to stroke, is your ego.
