Not quite as catchy as Dungeon ON! but definitely in the marketing scheme :P

Curses! If only I had thought of trademarking it, I could have earned a nickel every time you said it - with audio recordings to corroborate my claim, no less. :D

It may not be as good as Dungeon ON!, but if you can get BJB to record an intro where he says it with his suave voice, I'm sure it'll sound like just as big a double entendre. ;)

Of course! If he's using his suave voice, BJB can make anything sound like a double entendre. ;)

Thank you Hal and the Fashionistas! :D

In fact, I must say it's somewhere between "suave", "perverted", and "stay away from that man, my child, he sounds like bad news".

I would like to apologize to everyone who has listened to the audio. I don't normally listen to the audio because, well, I was there. But the other day something said "yo Gil, take a listen". I rarely comply with disembodied voices, but hey, you only live once.
Upon starting the audio I was appalled. No one told me that my voice was THAT ANNOYING. Hal sounds like Hal, Lindsay sounds like Lindsay and I sound like like Fran Drescher's REALLY gay little brother, vacationing on Fire Island, during Pride fest!
From this point forward, I will have to use the straightest voices I can muster... the British Newscaster, the angry Frat boy and my ultimate weapon, Vinny, the Brooklyn cab driver. Please note these changes in the roster.
Mor'kil, however, will remain the same horny, green, homo-surfin' half-orc he's always been. I mean, seriously, if anyone can understand how it feels to dance half-naked, in the middle of a foam party, on Fire Island, during Pride fest, I think it's Mor'kil. :D

Meh. Sounds like you're not used to hearing yourself in any context. I'm sure you know this already, but as a reminder, we all sound different to ourselves inside our own heads. I wouldn't apologize if I were you: at least your voice is distinctive and not offensive to the ears. I'm always disappointed by the sound of my voice on tape, but then again, I only tend to hear it in phone and voicemail messages.

Having listened to most of this episode, I just gotta ask: do you guys need some coasters with that WHINE? Honestly, barely six days after you made the Carrion Crown 01 thread, and you're all: "Where's mah pictures, durnit?"

You can get it well-made, quick, or cheap. Pick any two of the above.

Since you're getting the illos for $0.00, there's really not that many options left, Hal my pally. ;)

Enough ranting (For now!). Gilbert, the reason falchions are two-handers is all a matter of size [insert Gilbertized remark here]. Greatswords are huge swords, greataxes are huge axes, falchions are huge scimitars. Hence, two-handed and one-handed, respectively.
It all gets slightly more complicated when you discuss which weapons can be used one- or two-handed interchangeably (e.g. bastard swords), depending on the person's training, or magic weapons - if a halfling picks up a shortsword made for a human, it will look comparatively larger in her hands, and thus be treated as a longsword (unless they've changed that since 3rd edition), but it it's a magic shortsword, it can change size to suit the halfling's tiny, slender thiefy fingers - one size fits all, you might say.
It's all really simple, honest guv'. :)

Don't worry about it, we've had worse. I'm not sure how Lindsay feels, though: Since Ruby spends most of the time in a mac'n'cheese-induced stupor, Linds is now the least feminine-sounding of the group, and that's including Hal! :D What does rile me somewhat is your pronounciation of the Turtle Strike: I've always believed it was 'Kame-Hame-HA!', heck, even the Dragon-Ball porn pronounces it Kame-Hame-Ha, but in Texas, it's Ka-Meha-Meha? Inconceivable!

On the other hand, I didn't even know how 'meander' was meant to be pronounced, until CC episode 01.
Listening to Lindsay say 'meander', it was so beautiful it gave me goosebumps. (I expect Thing had a similar reaction, but further south ;))

Oh, and Gilbert? Check out the BAGgers Player Profiles thread, in case you're interested in getting the golden picture Lindsay took of you tuskified. In fact, since I've already done Hal ("Watch it!"), Lindsay and Ruby, you're the last I need for a complete set. :) But if you're not interested, I totally understand; a picture of a guy with a brown paper bag over his head should do just as nicely. ;)

I have a suave voice? 8O

Like a silk garrote caressing the soft skin over my jugular. ;)

Well, I used to lecture to the unwilling masses two nights a week for six years; I guess I never really cared how I sounded to them. This is a completely new crowd, I just want to bring my "A" game.

Gilbert, the reason falchions are two-handers is all a matter of size [insert Gilbertized remark here].

[Yeah, apparently it helps if you grip the shaft tight. Well, you relax a little upon release... of the weapon]

I call those "Growers, not Show-ers". Its kinda like finding a diamond ring in a box of Cracker Jacks.

but it it's a magic shortsword, it can change size to suit the halfling's tiny, slender thiefy fingers - one size fits all, you might say

One size fits all? That's what they all say until you bust out the Astroglide.

Yeah... not really the kind of porn I like to watch and thank you for the Princess Bride reference.

I prefer the Delocated balaclava, but I'll see what I can do for you.

Gil, don't be hard on yourself, your voice is fine. It's distinctive and clear, and you speak decisively and whatnot. You don't need to change a thing.

And, this may just be the anime geek in me, but I think gil is refering to a pronunciation of the classic energy beam attack as pronounced more often in the original dragon ball series, whereas mr.monkey is thinking of how it was grunted out in Dragon Ball Z. Or I'm overthinking.

Oh Lockhart, you can never overthink enough!
I have always heard the characters pronounce it like the Hawaiian word, rather than the syllabic breakdown. It might have just been the English dubs though. I notice that, on anime, a voice actor says the same word 2 or 3 different ways depending on the rhythm of the sentence and the movement of the mouth in the original animation.

Yes, thank you for the shout-out Gilbert. And thanks to Hal, Lindsay and Gilbert for the awesome session. My various comments and notes are as follows:

Gilbert: a final fantasy reference AND a pokemon reference? Somebody has been holding out on rpg experience Razz

Nobody notices the innuendo when Hal says Darrus 'fills up' Mor'Kil? Very Happy

What's this? Gilbert can draw too?! Teeka in leather knickers?

Rules-lawyer-ninja: Mage armor is one of those wonderful spells that has an hour/level duration. This means that if you're heading into an area you think wil be dangerous, you can cast it in anticipation of combat, and chances are, unless you're spending a very long time in the danger zone, you'll be protected for pretty much the entire time, and won't need to waste a turn in combat to cast it.

Concentration: this area of the rules received a decent amount of update. The DC is 15+(spell level*2) and the bonus is equal to caster level+casting stat modifier+misc bonuses (combat casting as such). A failure uses up the spell as if cast, but does not provoke an attack of oppurtunity.

Concerning the hold person aspect of the piper haunt, hold person let's you make a new save each round to get out of it, so it's not as dangerous. The father charleton however...I may need to steal that one for a game that I'm feeling particularly evil.

One for Hal in favor of the monsters: can't recall if this is a paizo revision or the way it's always been, but the stirges blood drain at the end of their turn, including the turn they attach. Dunno if there are more stirges for this note to threaten the party. The ptolus group faced stirges the other night as well.

You know, I just can't make small posts like everyone else. Anywho, I think the larger exp division should balance out nicely with the small party size.
