Listening to EP #32 now, and 1:02 into it, a character introducing the party seemed to forget Balazaar's name who then sings it heroically and quickly.

Mind you, I know he's done it time and time again, and some more besides, but for some reason this was THE funniest burst of "BAL-a-ZAARhh!!" I have heard to date.

So.

FUNNY.

I'll assume that "daka daka daka daka!" is already implied.

Other than that, a casual "I shoot it with my heavy crossbow."

A couple of times that made me laugh so hard I just about peed my pants.

I loved (i think) session 33... WHen Hal snapped...

"Thirty-two sessions of dakka fucking dakka!!!"

A DM pushed to the limit... Precious...

And Hal sucks balls for robbing Lindsay like he did in Session 34...

Come to think of it, I actually thought all the times where Paul used the Voice-Box-Thing were quite...interesting....

Where did you get that thing, Paul?

My favorite moment was somewhere in session 38 or 39, where Paul's turn came up in the initiative order, and before he could even get it out of his mouth, Hal and the others at the table shouted out "BAL-a-ZAARhh!!" for him.

This one's quite comical and original:

"You just can't accept blame. You need deep psychoanalysis you poor, poor little deity."

For pure out of character comedy "Balazaar, brave brave Balazaar, he's coming up front with the fireball!"

Paul: "Balazaar casts Mage Armour on himself!"
Hal: Is Balazaar going to move into combat?

I remember Balazaar (or maybe paul out of character) talking about the Hand of Vecna in one of the early episodes, and I think he made a joke about the Head of Vecna. I just found this at the Wizards site: http://www.wizards.c...nd/oa/20070401a

P.s. I am sorry if this is in the wrong topic.

It became a bit of a running joke for 3 or 4 sessions. The Head of Vecna even got a few mentions in the Banewarrens (possibly 2 different sessions) or the Temple in one.

It'd be nice to think that the big bad corporate guys at Wizards of the Cost listen to you guys :).

Paul also mentioned the Penis of Vecna once in the WLD sessions, I'm just glad they didn't run with that as the april fool's day adventure idea.

That page contains a link to their version of the original Head of Vecna story. I always thought it was a witticism Paul just made up but now I wonder if he'd come across this before or just created the idea spontaneously. I invented the slip knot when I was five or six without being taught only to find out that others had created it years before.

Good stuff. Yep, the head is a classic gamer joke, right up there with (though much older than) "I attack the darkess!"

P.s. I am sorry if this is in the wrong topic.

Not at all, though you'll find this even more relevant to an upcoming game....

Welcome to the boards.

The Head of Vecna is a roleplayer classic. Jim from BURPS also recounts the tale at the very end of an audio show.
