Oh yes, it's very cool. I do wish people I game with don't run away when I show them the HERO rulebook though... It's a bit complex and it used to take me 3-4 tries just to get the math right for my characters to be approved. I can't imagine nowadays how I'd make characters without Hero Designer.

I'd recommend starting off by showing them the much-thinner basic rulebook and not having advantages or limitations at all at first! That avoids the most-mathsy bit. I'd seriously consider ignoring endurance too. :)

I kept my players from running by using heavy padlocks on the doors to the gaming lair. :D

Sneak up behind them with the rulebook and smack them in the legs with it - that will stop them running away :)

Not that the full version of the rule book is big or anything but someone once did a ballistics test on the Fifth Edition Core Rules! 8O

Fantasy Hero for sixth edition is still 600 pages if you miss the weight of old FRED. :P
