I think it would be really cool if we could make RPGmp3.com - the Musical (on ice); we could get Hal to sing a song about the Gnome Shopkeeper from Labour of Love (to the tune of 'Happy Together' by the Turtles):

I'm a gnome who has been known
To have the keenest nose for those who comes and goes
With pockets lined with gems and gold, and now I'm told
That you, sir, are loaded

Don't you fret about your debt
Just sign here on the dotted line, it'll all be fine
Don't worry if it costs a dime, or maybe nine
Just remember who wrote it

I can sell you anything as long as you
Will pay the price
Anything from headbands to tea, just be sure
You pay the price

Don't forget to buy a sled
You never know if it might snow, it has been known
To happen here this time of year; I know, it's weird
Since it's only September

I will sell you anything as long as you
Can pay the price
Anything from lamps to manure, just make sure
You pay the price

Me and you, and you and me
Were meant to be a part of this economy
If it will help you spend it all, then we can call
It a stimulus package

I can sell you anything that you might want
At any price
Anything to part you from all of your gold
At any price

A stimulus package
My stimulus package
Our stimulus package
Etc.

If we can't get Hal to sing it (fat chance, the man loves the limelight ;)), I think we should at least spice up the performance by adding sound bites from the LoL recordings; for instance, at the end of the song, when they keep singing the same few lines over and over again, the song could be interspersed with snippets of Hal's gnome voice going: "He has more money, he showed it to me!" and "Sir!" where you can even hear him clasping his little greedy hands. :D

If he won't do it you can hire me to do a Hal impression. I've got 10 years of theatre and musical theatre experience and I'll work for food and shelter.

Nice job on the filk, Monkey.

Even those of us who do the backstage work are willing to whore ourselves for peanuts and a tarpaulin. Actually, one or the other will do in this economy.
