I won't add any more fuel to the "Stop shouting!" bandwagon, but I have noticed something else. Is it just me, or is there a very muffled quality to the audio in this campaign?

On my mp3 player, it sounds like someone has turned the gain on the bass all the way up. A lot of the words become less distinct, and I have had to rewind some exchanges two or three times to understand what is being said. When I listen on my PC, I use my sound card's EQ settings to turn the lowest frequency sliders all the way down, and this restores a lot of the clarity.

I use the podcast RSS feed to get the audio - I will try the direct download to see if those files have the same problem. Or maybe no one else is hearing this, and I am insane.

re the digital rectal exam:
I forget who brought this up. Since these are Texans, I'm wagering that dietary concepts like 'micronutrients', 'fiber', and 'vegetables' are quaint, foreign concepts, perhaps seen on National Geographic documentaries, but never practiced.

As someone who's fought some battles with my colon, let me tell you that if you are a man over thirty, and you have people who love you, get it done at least once a year. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer for men, and colorectal cancer is number three. The DRE kills two birds with one stone by letting you doctor check for any changes in the consistency of your prostate (like tumors), and collecting a fecal sample to check for blood - the first sign of an abnormality in your intestinal lining (like tunors).

While you're at it guys, check your testes for irregularities.

Yes, I'm telling you all to fondle your balls, only with a purpose this time.

No more medical advice, I promise.

as for dwarves I've always thought that maybe they are just private about they're beliefs. As if it's something one doesn't talk about with other dwarves or other people, or that it's something others just can't understand. Part of the lack of knowledge of dwarven attitudes on religion on my part may just because Ive never read any fiction where the focus is on the dwarves as the main characters. you always see them as supporting characters but never as main ones. but maybe thats just me.

Who doesn't love talk of a vaguely... or not so vaguely sexual nature.
Plus it is good for your skin and low in carbs.

I'm totally taking credit as the "some guy on the forums" who advised showering before gaming.

Great session guys!

Not to be picky but rural is spelled with an "a" at least here in Canada.
This may be a case of "colour" and "color"

Bloody freaking cold I tells ya. Back home in BC my bulbs have come and gone and my in-laws are disparaging my overgrown lawn. Here there is still snow in the shady parts and the gravel roads appear to have been churned up by drunken moose.
How have you guys done this winter?

I think he meant wife. I don't think anyone spells rural with an e (except for maybe Ross :P).

Hello, Errand, I forget if we've chatted before but as a fellow rural Canadian I challenge you to a snowball fight! I've still got a pile behind the house and under the deck.

Haw, here I was convinced he meant "goatse". Let's hear it, Pencil. Tell us all you're a filthy bastard.

You mean you didn't know?! :? I guess I have to be less subtle with my obsceneties in future, at least when I'm around you lot. Many apologies. :D

EDIT: Ohh, you meant goatse; I bow before the superior knowledge of smut and depravity I see displayed so vividly in these hallowed halls. ;)

Mhmm, tempted to skip ahead and put some warhammer on my mp3 for listening to :) Currently just working my way up the epics podcast.
Got about four sessions of WLD left to go.
Though my interests are on the the Haggemoth and Accorderlands podcasts at the moment, on 13 for both of them it seems.

And a little Nimbik rage has inspired me to make a halfling barbarian :3 Using the FR Ghostwise one if I can :D
