While I am sat here waiting for Lindsay to finish her Fashion Sketching class I thought it might be nice if I released another audio for you guys.

You guys always get me laughing so hard... David's new character is hilarious.

Hell, some guy at the University of Colorado did his Thesis on the psychological effects and background of World of Warcraft and how it becoming a religion and such stuff and how it's like heaven, another world where the physical doesn't matter. 27 pages of that!

His thesis is 27 pages long???! 8O Please tell me that's a typo for 270 pages. If not, I may have to change disciplines!! :P

Or at least move to Colorado. Seriously, I could do that in a weekend or so.

Oh wait, it doesn't say if he passed or not.

Maybe it is just this thesis outline. :D

From the session, Goggles said he didn't know the lyrics to O Tannenbaum. My wife insists its:

"O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree"

But, here's a suitable English translation from the original German.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
In beauty green will always grow
Through summer sun and winter snow.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
You are the tree most loved!
How often you give us delight
In brightly shining Christmas light!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
You are the tree most loved!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Your beauty green will teach me
That hope and love will ever be
The way to joy and peace for me.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Your beauty green will teach me.

Excellent session as usual.

So since the end of the module is near, has it been decided/discussed about whether or not you'll be continuing to the 3rd module or will the 4e sessions be ending after this one?

And on a somewhat related note how are you all feeling about 4e in general?

I certainly hope not. I really like 4E, and I'm getting the hang of it mostly through forum games, so the recorded sessions with Hal and the gang sort of stands in for my lack of IRL games. It's just impossible finding D&D players in my area, so I'm really hoping the D&Di Game Table gets released in a playable state.

And the name of the song that everyone was trying to identify is the Carol of the Bells. And yes, it apparently has lyrics other than those that Lindsay was making up. :)

Ned was talking about listening to Pat Benatar and thinking about Splug, so I just had to make some lyrics. Told from the perspective of a dying kobold patrol unfortunate enough to run into Splug and friends.

Dedicated to Torin.

Splug on the Battlefield (Sung to Love is a Battlefield)

He is rogue, Pointy to Pointy, he...stabs
No promises, no demands
Splug on the Battlefield
He is strong, no one can tell him, he's wrong
Stabbing our hearts for so long, all of us dying
Splug on the Battlefield

We're beggin' him to go, we're makin' him stab
Why did he hurt me so bad?
It would help me to know
Did I stand in your way, or am I the last kill you've had?
Believe me, believe me, I don't want to die.
But he's dripping in my blood, he's stabbed my side

He is rogue, Pointy to Pointy, he...stabs
No promises, no demands
Splug on the Battlefield

He is strong, no one can tell him, he's wrong
Stabbing our hearts for so long, all of us dying
Splug on the Battlefield

We were just a patrol
Will he turn away, or stab me deep inside?
And before I get cold, will he feel the shame?
This is no way to die
But if he gets much closer, we'll lose the entire patrol
And if my heart surrenders, I'll end up cold

He is rogue, Pointy to Pointy, he...stabs
No promises, no demands
Splug on the Battlefield

He is strong, no one can tell him, he's wrong
Stabbing our hearts for so long, all of us dying
Splug on the Battlefield

He is rogue, Pointy to Pointy, he...stabs
No promises, no demands
Splug on the Battlefield

He is strong, no one can tell him, he's wrong
Stabbing our hearts for so long, all of us dying
Splug on the Battlefield

I very nice. However I believe this goes in the FILK section my friend...Could be wrong however. Nevertheless well done. Really we can always use more songs involving Splug.
