Heh, imagine Splugg as the oldest living party member and retelling tales of their early adventures from his perspective.

Lindsay's characters just have a short attention span for adventuring. :D

True. I was just too lazy to type "Except Lindsay, who's characters just keep wandering off" as a disclaimer.

It still makes for a complicated party relationship, ie

Splugg never met the original Halfling Rogue or Human Wizard.

Stendarr never knew the Warlord, Wizard, or Halfling Rogue.

Caldyr never met the Warlord, Wizard, H Rogue, or Nyess.

Wyndy never met the Warlord, Wizard, H Rogue, Nyess, or Halfling Cleric.

The mystery new guy will have never known the Warlord, Wizard, H Rogue, Nyess, the Halfling Cleric, or Torrin. That's more people then he'll meet when he joins!

Galadriel, on the other hand, has adventured with a total of 10-11 other people (11 counting the new character) only 4-5 of which are still around. Heh.

wow.... i guess i never really saw how much i liked "someones" character until this podcast.. they will be sorely missed!

:(

Y'know, i didn't realize how awesome that character was until it was gone, either. Not that the replacement is bad either, but they will certainly be missed. They dealt out a lot of hurt in that last fight.

Nicely played, David, for having Torin choose not to come back.

Does this technically make Galadriel the star character now? Should the podcast now be called "Galadriel and Friends in Thunderspire Labyrinth"?

I'm trying to post without giving anything away. . . The death being bad and all ( even though the player for the dead PC kept laughing) the aftermath, and the reaction of the friend was priceless! ! ! TOP KUDOS to the player for the mourning party member ! I think if any of us were to ever die in a game, we would want the same tribute/reaction.
Also-- Is it just me or do you all hear Lindsey's voice when she posts. It drips with her personality. ( That's a compliment Lindsey! ! )
Also-Also--- Did anyone else hear the anger in Lindsey's silence as the DAMN "Betrayer" unleashed another attack on his party members? No excuse ! "Gather up yer pitchfork's and torches ! ! ! We need a killin' ! ! !"

Oh yes, i could "hear it" too

.. after a while, you can hear thoughts of your special loved one if the silence is long enough. After 12 years like me, you are telepathically linked for this kind of silence.

I could imagine Lindsay's face during the silence.. it was almost screaming at me through the earphones " I WILL SKIN YOU ALIVE FOR THAT " or something as grisly. Usually involves reproductive organs too.

I was surprised that Stendar still lives..

Great session guys, but I had one big problem with it.

No one knows the Carol of the Bells? C'mon! It was in the first Home Alone movie. South Park did a parody fairly close to the actual lyrics (which do exist). It was even in Europe before it came overseas, so Lindsay has no excuse.

Tsk tsk. Uncultured heathens. :P

I'm a guy, and I can honestly say I teared up a bit.

I shed quite a few tears at this one too. One of the great PC's that I've encountered.

He'll be missed.

Let's not forget the wonderful Carol of the Old Ones version that the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society produced. The perfect tune to get in a festive holiday mood!
