Why do I suddenly get this image of a horde of gleeful leprechauns dragging Hal out of his bed in the middle of the night and carting him off to who knows where while chanting "One of us! One of us!"

Great session, even without the constant "Avandra Protects" chanting in the background. Probably would have sped up the skill challenge quite a bit if the Pally was there.

While the combats are always a blast, it was fun to see the party spend a lot of time interacting with NPCs and poking suspicious objects with sticks. Now you have me really itching for the next session though...so much trappy goodness ahead.

I tell you. If I was Stendar, I'm pretty sure these "accidents" would start to happen more and more, the more times people start jacking me in the face and flat out insulting me in front of the ghosts you're trying to impress. Particularly an odd looking barbarian might have some death balls land on her, at least in situations when you could be certain that she might end up unliving as a result. They don't call it "infernal wrath" for nothing.

Amusing session, guys, especially seeing everyone struggle with mouths agape at the concept of an encounter where you don't just kill everything in the room. Figures the first encounter where you needed diplomacy so far, you send the character with the skill home with the boar. Our group has no diplomacy at all, so I know how creative you can end up needing to become to make them work. Skill challenges can be kind of a mixed bag anyway in my personal experience, and tricky to GM. If you flat out tell them "you're in a skill challenge now" the players jump in, but it feels kind of fake. But if you don't say it you end up with what David and Lindsay try to do, just walk past the stupid annoying ghosts and ignore them.

Looking forward to the proving grounds encounter coming soon. How well have things been going without an actual healer in the party? No one's died yet, so apparently you can get by without a leader class, but I guess we'll see after some of these tougher encounters start coming along soon. Since you guys are playing with a bit of lead time, you could let us know if anything "unfortunate" has happened.

A fair bit of lead time, if the comment about Thanksgiving is to be believed. And why wouldn't it? Lindsay would never lie to us. And they totally have a leader. Splug's multiclassed to Cleric.

I think it's far more likely they'll kill each other before any of the monsters get them.

Hmmm. Either Goggles created a second forum account, or we have someone who actually likes S the B. Well, I guess there has to be at least one... :P Welcome. Just be careful of saying nasty things about the Countess of Carnage; we still do dueling around here. :)
