The Texan diet is notoriously meat-heavy, so you probably should :D

One bloody post and you managed to Shanghai the thread. On most forums that would be a record, but not round here :)

By the way, they actually addressed in the LOTR novels why they didn't give Bombadil the ring.
The reason was, he is powerful but flighty. He would take the ring in good faith, then forget about it after a while.

I mean, seriously, as powerful as he was, he mainly spent his life hanging out in the woods with his girlfriend making up songs about his wardrobe choices.

A definite feeling of plot acceleration in this one... a bit like that moment when the rollercoaster goes over the top of the first high bit then there's no turning back as it shoots off and down along the track! 8O

Thanks all!

Because the original Finger of Death spell wasn't that great.

Yeah, the 60 minute casting time before attempting the touch atatck generaly meant you needed to keep the guy tied (maybe to an altar). So it'd blatantly be more expedient to just use a ritual dagger or osmething but maybe the whole "channeling our god's power" bit might make a ritual more powerful (if the rules actualy catered to anything on that scale, which they didn't).
