OK! We have folks going to the UK Games Expo 2008. Namely Jon and Martin (BigJackBrass and Martimus) so if any of you guys are going make sure to keep an eye out for them and make sure to record some audio greetings and bumper type stuff for us.

Sadly the UK is a little far for Lindsay and I but we will be there in spirit and hope you lot have a cracking time :)

Well it looks as though I'll be going for some of the Saturday, so if I see the guys around I'll say 'Hi'.

I'll be around the whole weekend, trying to get photos of Stormtroopers and not spend too much.

Admittedly "look for the fat bloke in the Hawaiian shirt" might not be the most helpful suggestion, since games cons tend to be full of people answering that description, but to make things easier Martin and I will be wearing big yellow RPGMP3 badges. And carrying recording equipment :D

There's also a "Yog Meet" on Saturday afternoon, details on the yog-sothoth.com forum. I'm hoping to drop by and say hello. Or ftangh, or fnord or whatever seems appropriate.

At the risk of ruining the impression that this is a slickly-run, high budget international operation... I printed a couple of logos onto yellow paper and stuck them in nametag holders

I'm sure that won't be problem Linds, we'll be happy to pass hugs along:)

It's early Saturday morning in sunny Birmingham. Jon and I arrived at the rather miss-named 'Quality Hotel' last night. However we did have a splendid meal at Johnny Wong's Chinese Restaurant (he has to appear as a baddie NPC in a game some time) Jon recommends the malaysian Lamb if you happen to be in this neck of the woods.
We even did some prep work last night too amazingly! So now we'll head down to sample the delights of ye olde breakfast fayre at the hotel and then it's on to the Expo...wish us luck!

Greetings from the Expo!
End of the first day and I'm worn out. Had an great game of Cthulhu Adventus ( I survived!) and giant Settlers of Catan ( I won!), bought a copy of Victoriana for a fiver and got three free dice (?)
Martimus and BJB found me, hugs were given/received (thanks Lindsay) and they are sweeties and perfect gentlemen (thank-you Keener ).

Yeah day one was great fun. Seeing the Yoggie guys was lovely and laughs were had in abundance in the Living Dungeon ( I still think we should be wassialing in those costumes!)

Time for day two and breakfast... no,I mean interviews. :D

An excellent weekend, lovely to meet Isis, the extended "Yoggie family" (some again, some for the first time) and Tina; not so lovely to have booked into an hotel where having a cricket team rampage through the corridors at three in the morning seemed to be a regular event...

I'm working on the interviews and some photos from the show which will be heading to Hal and Lindsay soon. Since I'll also be catching up on "Doctor Who" tonight (I made sure that he didn't offer any spoilers when I met him at the Expo) I've booked the day off tomorrow to get things sorted.

And to catch up on sleep.

I've hopefully got a Cthulhu by Gaslight audio to send to Hal; just listening to it now to check how much is audible (my god, I don't recognize my own voice :?)
It was lovely to meet the Yoggies and other Bradford people on Saturday, and apologies to Jim for slightly freaking him out.
Meanwhile, more photos if anyone's interested. :)
