Oh there was no delay. it loaded the page straight away, the 404 page, that is.

I was using the frontpage link. Were you using the link in this thread?

Yep, the link here works. It's just the frontpage link that's broken.

Fat fingers strike again (good for some things, not for typing) ;) Should be fixed now!

Cheers

Aah, fibs Hal fibs! Fighters do not simply get better every level. Fifth level is the worst level ever for fighters because it's the first time they never get a bonus feat (which means they haven't got time to get used to it yet). On top of that all they get is a bab bonus and skill points. They're saves don't even go up. It's a huge power jump from 4th to 6th (like, three levels worth) if you're a fighter and 5th is the boring one you really want to get past as quickly as possible to suddenly get two feats at 6th level, a second attack and better saves.

The front page link's working now :).

There are also anal lesions....

There's also the old debate that I've heard in every xp/kill game I've played (and in several rpgmp3.com presentations), "we shut the door on it, so we defeated it. Give us the XP!"

Which character would you expect to be chopping an orc in twain with a single blow? And a goblin?

Lindsay, how is it basking in the glory of your birthday all over again?

My only complaint is that Hal hasn't beaten anyone with the "don't talk over each other stick" - although with 9 people at the table and the others in the shop, I realize you can't stop it.

ROFL.

Another session that's left me in stitches. Hurray for LOL!

And a belated happy birthday to Lindsay! If ya'll were closer I'd buy you a beer. And not our crappy American macro brew beer. Honest to God Texas made Shiner. :-D

I'm a little bit of a rules-lawyer and when hal laid the prone-rules smack-down correctly i've never felt more proud.

Thanks for that :D

What can I say? You design a room to be really quite difficult, you need to know what it is going to do to the players :D

I liked that room, it almost did for a party member :)

Wooooo - slippery floors :D

Amen to that. Amen to all that. I'll have to listen to that section again. The Prone condition is very, er, prone to misunderstanding.

I'll have to send you some of my designs for the Grimtooth's Traps series that didn't make the cut. If memory serves there's a combination Teflon floor and salad oil dispenser trap in there somewhere...
